Apple Announces American Manufacturing Partners for Foldable iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro
Apple commits $100M to US titanium producer Perryman for iPhone Duo and expands Qnity camera partnerships under its $600B American Manufacturing Program.
Apple has announced new and expanded U.S. manufacturing partnerships under its $600 billion American Manufacturing Program, securing domestic components for the foldable iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro. Key suppliers include Perryman Company for grade 5 titanium, Qnity Electronics for camera aperture films, Broadcom for RF chips, and TSMC Arizona for advanced silicon.
U.S. Titanium for Foldable iPhone Duo and Camera Films for iPhone 18 Pro
On October 20-21, 2026, Apple detailed major supply chain agreements for its latest flagship mobile devices. Apple is committing up to $100 million over three years to Perryman Company in Houston, Pennsylvania, to melt, forge, and roll grade 5 titanium containing at least 80 percent recycled content for the structural enclosure and hinge of the foldable iPhone Duo. Simultaneously, Apple expanded its contract with Delaware-based Qnity Electronics to manufacture precision optical films powering the new physical variable aperture mechanism within the iPhone 18 Pros 48MP Fusion Main camera system.
Advanced Domestic Semiconductor and Packaging Infrastructure
The expansion encompasses nearly 100 U.S.-manufactured components across the iPhone lineup. Broadcom is modernizing its Fort Collins, Colorado, facility through a $1.5 billion capital program to produce over 15 billion domestic radio frequency chips for Apple. In Arizona, TSMCs Phoenix fab is scaling up production to deliver more than 100 million advanced Apple Silicon chips in 2026, while Amkor Technology advances construction on its high-volume packaging and test facility in Peoria, Arizona, where Apple will serve as the anchor customer.
Component Localization Across All Fifty States
Additional domestic contributors include Cornings Harrodsburg, Kentucky, facility—which will produce 100 percent of the global cover glass (including Ceramic Shield) for iPhone Duo and Apple Watch by late 2026—and Coherents Sherman, Texas, plant supplying VCSEL lasers for Face ID and the redesigned Dynamic Island. Supported by Apples Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston, Texas, the initiative reinforces Apples $600 billion four-year commitment to onshore specialized hardware production while requiring all direct suppliers to achieve 100% renewable energy operations by 2030.
