Amazon's Bee Brand Launches Eclipse and Frontier AI Hardware Devices for Call Recording and Summaries
Amazon-owned Bee debuts the $99.99 MagSafe-attached Bee Eclipse with 21-day battery and the $74.99 Bee Frontier wearable for on-device AI transcription and notes.
Amazon-owned personal AI hardware brand Bee has officially launched two consumer audio-recording devices: the $99.99 Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-shaped MagSafe attachment for smartphones with 21-day battery life, and the $74.99 Bee Frontier, a wearable wristband with IP67 water resistance.
Bee Eclipse: MagSafe Smartphone Call Recorder with 21-Day Battery
The flagship $99.99 Bee Eclipse is designed in a thick credit-card form factor that magnetically snaps to the back of an iPhone or compatible smartphone via MagSafe. Aimed primarily at recording phone calls and in-person discussions, the device delivers an impressive 21-day battery life on a single charge. Operating through dedicated hardware buttons and an active LED indicator, the Eclipse generates structured meeting notes, summaries, and action items while integrating with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook to automate follow-up workflows.
Bee Frontier Wearable and Private Compute Architecture
Complementing the Eclipse, the $74.99 Bee Frontier is a clip-on and wristband wearable featuring dual beamforming microphones, onboard noise filtering, IP67 dust and water resistance, USB-C charging, and up to seven days of battery life. Both devices operate on Amazons Bee Private Compute architecture, which encrypts transcripts and processes voice data in real time while immediately deleting raw audio files to address consumer privacy concerns.
Bee Pro Subscription and the Evolving Personal AI Hardware Market
Alongside the hardware, Bee introduced the Bee Pro subscription service priced at $11.99 per month (including a 30-day free trial for new purchasers), unlocking unlimited AI summaries, third-party workspace integrations, cross-device sync, and persistent conversational memory beyond the free tiers 14-day limit. The launch marks Amazons direct push into dedicated personal AI wearables, offering affordable, task-specific companion hardware that enhances smartphones rather than attempting to replace them.
