Agility Robotics Standardizes Digit 5 Humanoid on NVIDIA IGX Thor for Commercial Scale
Agility Robotics standardizes Digit 5 on NVIDIA IGX Thor compute and NVIDIA Halos safety platforms, targeting commercial warehouse deployment in 2027.
Agility Robotics has announced that its next-generation humanoid robot, Digit 5, will standardize exclusively on NVIDIA IGX Thor modules for onboard compute. Expanding its physical AI collaboration with NVIDIA, Agility is integrating NVIDIA Halos functional safety models and participating in the Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab ahead of Digit 5s commercial rollout in 2027.
NVIDIA IGX Thor Standardized Across Digit 5 Humanoid Fleet
On October 22, 2026, Agility Robotics announced an expanded physical AI architecture partnership with NVIDIA, establishing NVIDIA as the exclusive onboard compute provider for the general availability version of the Digit 5 humanoid robot. Digit 5 will consolidate its distributed internal computing hardware into standardized NVIDIA IGX Thor modules, delivering real-time multimodal perception, low-latency motor control inference, and unified sensor processing within a power-efficient embodied form factor.
Deep Integration with NVIDIA Halos Functional Safety Platform
A core element of the architecture is the integration of the NVIDIA Halos safety platform into Digits proprietary safe human detection system. To deploy safely in dynamic industrial environments alongside human warehouse workers, Agility is embedding Halos models directly into Digits perceptual fail-safe loops. Furthermore, Agility is joining the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, enabling rigorous third-party auditing and automated testing of safety-critical software, neural policies, and cybersecurity protections.
Commercial Deployment Timeline and Public Market Transition
Early access for Digit 5 is scheduled to commence in the first half of 2027, followed by general commercial availability expanding across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution centers over the subsequent six to nine months. The hardware consolidation comes as Agility finalizes its business combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI, which is scheduled to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 to take the robotics pioneer public on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol 'AGLT'.
